Beep Codes
Your computer suddenly crashes and when you turn on the computer it creates few beeps with combination like a morse code. Well guess what you got yourself some deciphering to do to aid you fix your computer. There are many beep codes depending upon the model of your motherboard, but here are major beep codes that might aid you fix your computer.
Beep-Meaning-Solution
1 continous –Memory Failure– Check memory
1 long, 2 short–Video adaptor failure– Check video card
1 long, 3 short– No video adapter present– Check video adaptor or have problems in Video RAM
High pitch beeps– CPU overheating– Check heatsink/fan
Repeated high-low pitched beeps— CPU dammaged/bad—Reset CPU, check BIOS setting, connection check heatsink/fan
Dont be surprised if some doesnt work or none of the beeps you found here matched with your CPU. These beeps are generic beeps. Different manufactures have different codings specially the branded ones
